Re: Letter of Recommendation for Kenneth Kanfer, Esquire

To: Prospective Clients

Ken Kanfer is at the top of my list of the best lawyers I have ever worked with on financial transactions.

I highly and unreservedly recommend Ken for both his professional expertise and, as importantly, his personal set of skills in dealing with all parties to a transaction.

My statements are based upon my almost forty year career as a senior Wall Street investment banking executive at Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns and TD Ameritrade where I worked on debt, equity and mergers and acquisition transactions.

I have also served as a financial advisor in several complex legal transactions for individuals, my relatives and friends, that involved commercial real estate sales and the sale of family businesses.

Lawyers are the linchpin of every deal but they must bring so much more to the table than knowledge of the law.

I worked with Ken on several transactions. My assessment of him is that he is “top notch.”

Ken is a wonderful listener to the benefit of all parties involved. He clearly grasps the issues involved. Both characteristics help build consensus throughout the process, avoid confusion and “dead end” pathways, lessens conflicts and also could lead to options not readily apparent at every stage of the transaction.

Ken is well organized and always prepared. He is always accessible to all parties involved. He is mild mannered and never emotional. His viewpoints are critical and insightful to the success of the transaction. He is courteous to a fault, humorous when such levity is needed and knows well how “to close”.

I would clearly want Ken to be a significant party to any team I was on.

On a personal note, I have both worked with and know many lawyers that I respect. However, just a few months ago I contacted Ken for his recommendation on an estate lawyer for myself.  My belief in Ken’s judgement of others is quite high.

Finally, given all my previous comments, one final observation from me is perhaps the most important: Ken can unequivocally be trusted and will always do the right thing.

In a phrase: Ken is your man!

Respectfully,

Phylis M. Esposito
